How AI Settings Work

Panoramic AI has two switches:

  • Account switch - controls whether sites in the account can use the TimeView Assistant. It's on by default.
  • Site switch - turns the Assistant on for one site. It's off by default, so each site opts in on its own settings page.

Both need to be on for people to use the Assistant on a site. If the account switch is off, every site is off, whatever its own setting.

Who Can Manage AI Settings

These roles can view and change AI Settings, and see usage details:

  • Account Owner
  • Admin
  • Deployer
  • Partner Owner
  • Partner Admin

Other users don't see the AI Settings page. Once AI is on for a site, every user with access to that site can chat with the Assistant - including users with the basic User role.

Account AI Settings

  1. Open your account.
  2. Go to Settings → AI Settings.

The page has three parts:

  • Panoramic AI for this account - the account switch. The text under it reads "Controls if sites can use TimeView Assistant. Each site opts in on its settings page."
  • Account usage - conversations and allowance used for each site this month. See AI Usage and Monthly Allowance.
  • Setting history - a log of every change.

What the assistant can do

Click What the assistant can do to see a summary of the Assistant's capabilities, with links to How it works and Terms & Conditions.
