What Is Manual Export?

What is it?

Manual Export lets you download energy data from PowerRadar as a CSV file. You choose a time range, a measurement type, a data resolution, and which sites or devices to include - then PowerRadar generates the file and makes it available for download.

Why use it?

• Pull historical data for a specific time window that a scheduled export job has already passed.
• Download a one-off dataset for a report, an audit, or a troubleshooting investigation.
• Export per-phase (sensor-level) current or power readings for individual device phases.

Note: Manual Export is for on-demand downloads. If you need data delivered automatically on a schedule, use Export Jobs instead.

Where to Find It

Manual Export lives in My tools - a personal toolbar in the PowerRadar navigation bar. It is separate from the account-level sidebar.

Creating an Export

1. Open My Tools and click Manual Export.
2. Click Create new export. The New manual export page opens. The page subtitle confirms: export processing may take 1-5 minutes, and you can continue using the platform while you wait - PowerRadar notifies you when the file is ready.
3. Enter a name in the Export name field. This name becomes the CSV filename, so use something descriptive - for example, "Production Line Consumption June 25".
4. Open the Export type dropdown and choose an export type:
   • Devices - Single or multiple devices from one site
   • Sites total - One or multiple sites (aggregated site totals)
   • Meters - Single or multiple meters

A CSV data sample preview panel appears on the right side of the page. It shows a mock example of the CSV structure - it is not pulled from your account data. To hide it and give yourself more room to work, click Hide data sample in the top right corner. Click Show data sample to bring it back.

The steps for Sites total, Devices, and Meters exports differ - see the sections below.

Exporting by Sites Total

A Sites total export returns the aggregated total for each selected site - one row per site, per interval.

1. Select Data to Export

Open the Data to export dropdown and choose what to measure:

2. Set the Date Range

The Date Range label shows the site's time zone in parentheses - for example, Date Range (Europe/London). Use the preset buttons - Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last year - or select a custom Start date and End date from the dropdowns. Dates and times are based on the site's local time zone.

Note: The maximum time range for a Sites total export is one year.

3. Set Data Resolution

Choose a Data resolution from the dropdown. The available options depend on the date range you selected - shorter ranges unlock finer resolutions. If the resolution you want isn't available, shorten the date range.

4. Select Sites

Use the Partner and Account dropdowns to choose your scope. Then use the Sites search box to find sites, or scroll the list and check each site you want to include. The counter below the search box shows how many sites are selected out of the 250 maximum.

Heads up - Sites export limits:

• Maximum 250 sites per export.
• Visualize sites must be exported separately from Optimize sites. If you select a Visualize site, you can only select one site total.
• Mixed time zones: If the sites you select have different time zones, a warning appears at the top of the form. You must choose a single time zone for the export before proceeding.

5. Start the Export

Click Start export. A modal confirms the export is in progress. See Tracking and Downloading Your Exports for what happens next.

Exporting by Devices

A Devices export returns readings for each selected device (or sensor/phase within a device) - one row per entity, per interval.

1. Select Data to Export

Open the Data to export dropdown and choose what to measure:

Note - Current and phase-level exports: If you select individual sensor nodes (phases) under a device - for example, L1, L2, L3 - you get per-phase current readings. If you select the device itself, you get the device-level aggregate. See Selecting at the Device vs. Sensor Level below.

The Date Range label shows the site's time zone in parentheses - for example, Date Range (Europe/London). Use the preset buttons - Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last year - or select a custom Start date and End date from the dropdowns. Dates and times are based on the site's local time zone.

Note: The maximum time range for a Devices export is one year.

3. Set Data Resolution

Choose a Data resolution from the dropdown. The available options depend on the measurement type and the date range you selected - shorter ranges unlock finer resolutions. If the resolution you want isn't available, shorten the date range.

4. Select Devices

Under Devices for export, select a Partner, Account, and Site. The device tree loads below.

The tree is grouped by Device type by default. Use the Group by dropdown above the tree to change the grouping if needed. Use the Search box to find a specific device by name.

The counter above the search box shows how many entities are selected. Include site's external temperature - toggle this on to add the site's external temperature as an additional column in the export.

Selecting at the Device vs. Sensor Level

Expand a device to see its individual sensors (phases) - for example, L1, L2, L3. You have two options:

• Select the device - exports data aggregated at the device level.
• Select individual sensors (phases) - exports per-phase data for those sensors.

You cannot mix device-level and sensor-level selections in the same export.

Maximum 250 devices or sensors per export.

5. Start the Export

Click Start export. A modal confirms the export is in progress. See Tracking and Downloading Your Exports for what happens next.

Exporting by Meters

A Meters export covers utility meters and pulse meters - devices that measure non-electrical consumption such as gas, water, or heat.

The Data resolution dropdown unlocks after you set a date range. Choose a resolution from the available options.

4. Select Meters

Under Meters for export, select a Partner, Account, and Site. The meter tree loads below, grouped by meter type - for example, Air, Gas, Heat, Water.

Meters that don't support the selected data type are disabled and labeled No energy data. An info banner at the top of the list confirms this when it applies.

Check the meters you want to include. The counter above the search box shows how many entities are selected.

Include site's external temperature - toggle this on to add the site's external temperature readings as an additional column in the export.

5. Start the Export

Click Start export. See Tracking and Downloading Your Exports for what happens next.

Tracking and Downloading Your Exports

After you start an export, PowerRadar processes it in the background. You can track the status in the Manual Export jobs table.

Actions by Status

Click the inline Download button on a completed row to save the CSV to your computer.

Note: Completed exports are available for 48 hours. After that, they are automatically deleted. Download the file before the 48-hour window closes.
