TimeView Date Picker - Faster, Smarter, More Flexible

The date and time control in TimeView has been redesigned to help you get to the data you need with fewer clicks and a wider range of analysis options. Three things are new:

A Streamlined Control Bar

The new control bar puts everything you need front and center:

  • Step-through navigation - Move forward or back one period with a single click. No need to reopen the picker just to shift the range.
  • A single period dropdown - One discoverable menu for choosing your time range, replacing the old button strip.
  • Compare, built in - Side-by-side period comparisons are now one click away, right from the control bar.

All Your Presets in One Place

Rolling presets (Last 7 days, Last 30 days, and more) and to-date presets (Week to date, Month to date, and more) now live together in a single scrollable menu. Each preset also shows a range tooltip so you can see exactly which dates you'll be looking at before you select.

More Ways to Slice Your Time

The custom date picker now supports five granularities, each on its own tab:

  • Daily - for hour-level and day-level analysis
  • Weekly - pick by week, with week numbers visible
  • Monthly - select one or more months at a time
  • Quarterly - fiscal-quarter analysis without manually building ranges
  • Yearly - year-over-year comparisons in a single click

The picker remembers your active range, uses clean en-dash formatting, and supports both Since and Last range modes so you can express your analysis window whichever way feels most natural.
