Invite Users to Join the Panoramic Power platform Allowed Domains Security Setting Invitation Details Revoking an Invite

As an Admin or Deployer User, you can perform various user management activities, such as viewing and updating existing users or inviting new users to sign up and use the platform.

You can also:

  • Update users' roles.
  • Resend user invitations.
  • Disable users.

You can access user management from each one of the dashboards, by clicking the settings from the dashboard.

Invite Users to Join the Panoramic Power platform

As an Admin or Deployer User with Account scope, you have the ability to create new users and invite them to join the Panoramic Power platform. This lets members of your team gain insights on energy, operations and demand. If you are an Admin or Deployer User with multiple Site scope access, you only have the ability to invite users to your scope. For example: If an Account has 5 Sites (A,B,C,D,E) and there is a Deployer User with a scope of Site A and Site B, they can create users for Site A and/or Site B only.

To invite a new user, navigate to the dashboard relevant to the user’s scope. For example, for an Account user, navigate to the relevant Account dashboard and click Account Settings in the top right corner (as illustrated in the screen below).

In the Users tab within the Settings window, check to see if the user appears on the existing user list. If not, click + New Invite to start the invite process.

Allowed Domains Security Setting

As an Admin or Deployer User with account scope, you have the ability to approve specific email domains for account access. This ensures that only users with emails from approved domains can access your accounts and sites.

To specify an allowed domain, under the Account Dashboard, navigate to:

User Management > Security Settings

Now you can add all domains that you want to grant access to your account. Once applied, only these domains and the Support Providers (if access has been granted) will be able to receive an invite to your account. If no domains are specified, access will remain unrestricted.

On an Account basis, you can toggle on the Multi-Factor Authentication functionality to be required for all users registered to the sites within the Account or Account scoped users. This enables a passcode to be sent to the user's phone number or email address to increase the security of the user's access to the system. The MFA method (via SMS or via Email) can be switched once logged into the system under the Personal Preferences.

Invitation Details

In the New Invite window, fill in the user's details and choose a role for the user, from one of the following roles:

  • Deployer User - can view and edit any settings and has access to the Deployment Tool section on the Site Dashboard
  • Admin - can view and edit any settings and create invitations for Admins and Users within its scope
  • User – can view anything, but cannot change any settings.

Scope represents what the user can access. The person inviting the user is limited to setting the scope of the user to their same amount or smaller. For example: if the administrator has Account wide scope, they can invite users to have Account wide scope as well or Site(s) scope. Within the smaller scope, you can have a scope of one or a few sites within the account. You can use the search bar to search and find the intended scope and select.

Admins and Deployer Users of an Account are the ones able to set and edit Account Settings, such as Tariffs, Schedules, and Export Jobs. Site Admins can set and edit Site Settings such as assigning the Tariffs.

Note: The role type does impact what role type users they can create. A Deployer User can invite any role type (Deployer User, Admin, and User). Admins can invite Admins and Users. And Users do not have the ability to create/invite users.

Click Invite to invite the user.

Revoking an Invite

If you inadvertently invited a user with the wrong role or scope, you can find the user invite on the Invites list in the settings, click the Revoke button from the 3 dot option when you hover the name, to revoke the invite and recreate an invitation with the correct details. You can also Resend out the invite in case the user lost the invitation in their inbox.
