Note: Site Alerts and majority of the Triggers types are only available on Optimize sites.

Notifications in the Panoramic Power software appear when an incident related to a site's consumption or system status has occurred. To view alerts that pertain to a specific Site, navigate to the Configuration tab from the Site Dashboard and select Site Alerts. To view notifications associated to you specifically across your entire scope, you can click on the bell icon in the upper right corner to view a summary and direct you to your Notification Center. The rules of these alerts are established in the Triggers

Triggers are set by administrators to alert on different incidents related to:

  • The consumption of specific devices
  • The state of specific devices, such as sensors and external meters
  • The status of the system and the Bridges
  • The consumption of the entire site

Setting up Triggers

Triggers can be viewed under the Configuration tab from the Site Navigation Menu. You can view or edit Triggers settings as well as disable and delete Triggers.

Click on + New Trigger to get started. Provide a name for the trigger to help easily identify and track in in the future amongst the other triggers you make.

There are many trigger types you can select from the left: Devices (equipment with Panoramic sensors installed on them), Bridges, Site, Maintenance, and External Meters. Groups and Energy Trends trigger types will be available soon!

Click +Add devices to select what this trigger will apply to. The list of devices will populate to the right and be sorted by Device Type. You can use the search function to find your device by name or even select entire categories to quickly select many devices at once. Click +Add trigger to select what will be triggered: Power of the device or each device, Current of the phases of the devices, the Total power of the selected devices, or the State of the devices.

Note: For External Meters, depending on what type is selected, different triggers will be available. For Gas Meters, you can trigger for Power and/or Flow. For Electricity Meters, you can trigger for Power. For Water and Air Meters, you can trigger for Flow.

Two conditions can be applied to the trigger to ensure less alert fatigue will occur: For More Than applies a duration condition where the trigger will only activate if that event occurs for more than the time specified. During applies a schedule-based logic where the trigger will only activate during a specific time frame. Site Off Hours and Site On Hours are based on the Schedule you assign to the site. Specific Schedule allows you to associate to a different schedule you have created prior such as "Headquarters Calendar" or "Summer Schedule".

Next part is to establish the Notifications element. Choose who will be notified once this is triggered. It must be a user on the platform. You can receive push notifications via the Mobile app by ensuring the phone icon is green (click to toggle between) and/or email notifications by ensuring the envelope icon is green. When adding a user, you can type out their name or email in the search bar to quickly find the right user. Select the Severity of the trigger with either Low, Medium, High, and Critical. For Optimize sites, the Severity will apply a reminder notification until the alert is over or acknowledged.

Severity Reminder Frequency
Low No reminder
Medium Every 24 Hours
High Every 12 Hours
Critical Every 2 Hours

For Visualize sites, the Severity serves as a visual label only.

Maintenance Triggers

The Maintenance trigger type utilizes a time and calendar to setup reminder notifications related to your system routine tasks. Set a frequency such as daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. Depending on which is selected, continue to set the conditions of how frequently and starting at what time and date and expiring on what date.

Once configuration is finished, set the trigger to “Active” and that automatically saves the trigger and click Close to finish.

Note: Every time the event happens, you will receive a notification for it.

Create Account Level Trigger

The Account Level Trigger feature enhances the management of Bridges at the Account Level. To create an Account Level Trigger navigate to:

Account Dashboard > Triggers > + New trigger

The navigation for setting up the Trigger is the same as for Site Level Triggers. The only difference being that at the Account Level, Bridges from all Sites can be selected.

Once the Bridges are selected and the Trigger is set up, it is saved on the Account Level.

Navigating Account Level Triggers

Now, the Alerts for this Trigger will appear at the Site level. Within your Site Alerts, you can find Alerts with an Account icon. These are the Account Level Alerts.

Viewing Triggers

Once the Triggers have been created, you can view them in the Triggers application. You can edit the Triggers listed by clicking on the pencil icon. You can filter the Triggers by their Severity level, who created the Trigger (legacy triggers will have an unknown creator), Status of the Trigger, and Types. You can also search the triggers by their title or Sort by Date created, Title, Severity, Status, and Created by.

Once the event is triggered, you can view the Site’s relevant alerts by navigating to the Site Alerts under the Operational tab and recipients will receive a Notification under their bell icon (and receive a push notification on the Mobile App and/or an email if applicable).

Notification Center

The Notifications Center provides a consolidated, sleeker space for you to view the Alerts triggered that pertain to you as a recipient! This allows users to have a clearer understanding on the history of their alerts and in upcoming releases, acknowledge and delegate the next steps of resolution to critical events at their site, setting themselves up for better reaction times.

Preview of Notifications

In the upper right corner next to the question mark icon is a Bell icon that has a number of total unread notifications associated to you.

When you click on it, a preview window opens showing a list of My Alerts (all notifications you are set as a recipient, with the blue number representing the unread ones and the number in parentheses representing the grand total), Watching (which are notifications acknowledged by others for the ones you are also assigned to), and Done (notifications that have been Resolve by Dismissing them or Acknowledged). You can toggle at the top to Show unread only or Mark all as read (unless you are in the Done section and in which you can Mark all as unread).

Each of the notifications list the following details:

  • Severity (Low, Medium, High, Critical)
  • Status (New, In Progress, etc.)
  • Time triggered
  • The option to Mark it as read/unread
  • Site
  • The Users associated to the Trigger
  • 3 Dot Option to: Mark as Unread, Copy URL, and Open Alert in a New Window
  • Title
  • Description
  • Acknowledged/Dismissed by which User

Click on the arrow icon in the right corner to open the Notification Center

Notification Center

The Notification Center provides you the same insight from the Preview Window and more! If you click on any notification, an Alert History timeline will show up on the right, providing additional details like the Duration of each iteration and their specific Time Stamp triggered.

Above the Alert History, you have the ability to Search within your notifications using key words in the Title or Description and Sort the notifications by Date, Title, Severity, Status, and Acknowledged by whom.

On the left, under the count of Notification types, there are Filters you can apply to your notifications regarding the Date when triggered, Severity, Status, Acknowledged by which User(s), and Sites.
