This Article explains how to factory reset the Bridge in case the password is forgotten or the user is having issues accessing the configuration settings on the Bridge. There are 3 methods to factory resetting the Bridge:

via Bridge Configuration Tool (if accessible)

In the Bridge Configuration Tool, in the Bridge Configuration tab, click on Reset bridge to factory settings underneath the Download Log button.

via Command Prompt

Note: The Telnet Client needs to be enabled on your machine in order to do the following sequence. This is done via the "Turn Windows features on or off" section of the Programs folder in the Control Panel.

  1. Disconnect the PC from all communication (Bluetooth, WIFI etc.).
  2. Connect the PC to the Bridge and enter configuration mode on the Bridge (hold down the black button at the bottom until the left Rx light turns solid red)
  3. Open the command line in the console.
  4. Type: ipconfig.
  5. If the default gateway is 10.0.0.13, you can connect the computer to the Bridge. If not, type ipconfig /release.
  6. After the operation is done, type: ipconfig/renew. Then type: telnet 10.0.0.10
  7. You will see this screen, shown on the first image
  8. Hold SHIFT and press the ‘?’ key and see the options, shown on the second image
  9. Hold SHIFT and press ‘F’ (capital F  (notice this is case-sensitive)).
  10. Then the following will appear, shown on the third image
  11. Click y (not capital), wait a minute and do power cycle (reset the bridge)
  12. The Bridge will now be uploaded after reset to default (notice connection mode is now LAN)

via Hardware

  2. Connect the PC to the Bridge and enter configuration mode (hold down the black button at the bottom until the left Rx light turns solid red)

  4. The Bridge should now reboot with default factory settings
  5. If the Bridge does not reboot, you may need to re-try step 4 again a few times, until the Bridge reboots
